Am I Eligible?
If you wish to take part in the Honey-B study, complete the questionnaire below to see if you may qualify.
You may qualify if you:
- Are male (16 years old or older)
- Have moderately severe to severe haemophilia B or have a documented genotype known to produce severe haemophilia B
- Have previous experience with FIX therapy with a current stable FIX prophylaxis regimen
- Are willing to be contacted for the opportunity to participate in a potential future clinical trial testing an investigational treatment
You may not qualify if you:
- Take medications to stop your blood from clotting
- Are positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) at the screening visit
Note: evidence of prior hepatitis B immunisation or prior resolved hepatitis B infection is not an exclusion - Are positive for hepatitis C virus (HCV) qualitative (ie, detected or not detected) by HCV RNA at screening visit
- Have HIV with CD4+ cell count ≤ 200mm3 within the last 12 months or are taking efavirenz as part of your antiretroviral regimen3
- Have pre-existing significant liver disease (for example, you have a diagnosis of cholestatic liver disease, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, splenomegaly or hepatic encephalopathy)
- There are other requirements to participate in the Honey-B study. If you are interested in participating and provide your informed consent, the study team will first collect a blood sample to evaluate if you can be fully screened for this study. Then, at a subsequent visit, a full medical examination along with other tests and procedures will be performed to see if you may qualify for this study.
